Dean Ali

Dean Ali has a diverse work experience in the legal and finance fields. Dean started their career as a Corporate Paralegal at bp in 2011 and subsequently worked as a Banking Paralegal. In 2013, they joined Capsticks Solicitors LLP as a Commercial Paralegal. Later that year, they joined Deutsche Bank as a Senior Legal Analyst, specializing in Hedge Fund Derivatives. Moving on, Dean worked at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) as a Legal and Compliance Associate in Private Equity before being promoted to a Senior Legal and Compliance Associate. In 2018, they joined First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) as a Legal Associate in the Global Markets and Group Funding team, and eventually became a Legal Counsel. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Legal Counsel (Vice President) in the same department at FAB.

Dean Ali has a strong education background in the field of law. Dean obtained a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Legal Practice Course from The University of Law in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from Coventry University in 2010. Dean also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Coventry University, which they achieved in 2009. Before pursuing higher education, Dean Ali attended King Edward VI Aston School from 1997 to 2004. In terms of certifications, they are a Solicitor (England and Wales) and an Attorney-at-Law (New York), both obtained in 2017. Additionally, they hold an International Compliance Officer Certificate (CISI Endorsed) from CCL Academy, obtained in 2015.
