Mary E. Leach

Mary E. Leach is the current Chief Retail Banking & Lending Officer at BankNewport. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending at BankNewport from September 2012 to July 2015. From December 2008 to September 2012, they were the Senior Vice President, Director of Lending Services at Bank Rhode Island, where they oversaw a prime credit portfolio of $300 million.

Leach began their career in banking in 1987 as an Executive Vice President at Citizens Bank/RBS. In 1998, they became the Credit Manager/Senior Vice President/Retail Lending Services at Citizens Bank. In 2000, they became the Executive Vice President of Small Business Lending and held that position until 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they were an Executive Vice President at Home Lending Solutions.

Leach has been honored with the #1 SBA lending designation and appointed Community Reinvestment Officer. Mary is an accomplished executive with a 20 year record of progressive achievement.

Mary E. Leach has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations from Rhode Island College. Mary also has Leadership Training from Harvard Business School in Glen Eagles, Scotland.
