Jessica Ybarra has extensive work experience in the field of interior design. Jessica started their career as an intern at Mitsch Design in 2010, where they gained experience in various tasks such as organizing materials library and aiding with material boards. In 2011, they interned at Hirsch Bedner Associates, where they were involved in all phases of design and interior design documentation. From 2014 to 2018, Ybarra worked as an Interior Designer at Sims Patrick Studio, Inc., where they worked on mixed-use complex projects ranging from historic renovation to hotel conversions and renovations. Currently, they are employed at Banko Design LLC as a Project Manager & Interior Designer, where they specialize in multifamily, senior living, and hospitality spaces. Their work involves collaborating with developers and corporations throughout the US to create beautiful, functional, and sustainable interiors that highlight the individuality of each project.

Jessica Ybarra completed their Bachelor of Science in Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate of Fine Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from the Lorenzo de' Medici School. Additionally, they participated in study abroad programs at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in 2010, focusing on Interior Architecture, and at the Universidad de Salamanca in the same year, studying Spanish Language and Culture.
