Julio Zayas

Julio Zayas has extensive work experience in the field of technology and finance. Julio started their career as a Software Technician and Tester at TradeStation Group in 1995, where they developed training courses and delivered multimedia presentations. Julio then became an EasyLanguage Specialist, providing programming advice to customers. In 2000, they became a Technical Writer and Project Lead, documenting the operation of EasyLanguage.

In 2002, Julio worked as a Technical Writer on a contract basis for Convergys, updating software documentation. Julio then joined BankUnited in 2003 as a Project Manager and Business Analyst, involved in all phases of the project lifecycle. Julio also managed IT projects and formulated strategic plans during their time at BankUnited.

From 2013 to 2014, Julio held the position of IT Manager at Home Financing Center, where they oversaw technology matters for a team of 75-100 employees. Julio also initiated and managed projects to improve workflow logic and reduce processing errors.

Julio then joined MortgageFlex Systems, Inc. in 2013 as a Business Analyst, capturing and documenting business requirements for customer implementations.

Finally, in 2014, Julio returned to BankUnited and held the role of Application Support Analyst III, providing system analyst expertise on commercial leasing projects. Julio was subsequently promoted to Application Support Team Lead, where they managed a team of lead analysts and SMEs, delivering expertise on various financial systems throughout the enterprise. Julio analyzed support activity, business processes, and provided reporting to multiple audiences.

Julio Zayas attended Bronx High School of Science from 1986 to 1990, graduating in the Class of '90. Julio then went on to attend the University of Miami from 1990 to 1993, where they studied MIS and Business.
