Ted Balagtas

Ted Balagtas is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Bankwell since September 2022, Ted Balagtas oversees all aspects of IT and core banking infrastructure. Previously, Ted held the position of Vice President of Information Technology at People's United Bank, where responsibilities included setting the vision for cloud-first initiatives and managing significant technological transformations. Prior roles include Director of Server Engineering at People's United Bank and various engineering and support positions at Alphaserve Technologies, Align Communications Inc., ICON Capital Corp, RBS, and Greenfield Online. Ted Balagtas holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut, earned from 1997 to 2002.
