Tom Tharp

Tom Tharp, CISA, CIA, serves as the Sr. Director of Information Technology Internal Audit at Banner Health since April 2023, leading the IT Audit function. Previously, Tom held the position of Director of Internal Audit at Baylor Scott and White Health from September 2014 to April 2023, focusing on Technology and Operational audits. Prior to this, Tom was the Associate Vice President of Internal Audit at Scott & White Healthcare from April 2012 to September 2014. Tom's extensive experience also includes roles as Director/Sr. Director of IT Audit and Consulting at Crowe LLP, Director of Technology Services at Jefferson Wells International, IRM Sr. Consultant at KPMG, and IT Audit Consultant at Jefferson Wells International. Tom began a career in auditing at the Texas State Auditor's Office, where various roles were held from January 1986 to 1998. Tom earned a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Texas State University between 1981 and 1985.
