Alex Bruening

Alex Bruening is an Associate Attorney at Banner Witcoff since July 2019, specializing in intellectual property law. Prior experience includes summer associate roles at Haynes and Boone, LLP, and Banner & Witcoff, Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed writing patent applications and conducting patentability studies among other tasks. Alex also served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable L. Scott Coogler at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, assisting with drafting judicial opinions and legal memoranda. With a background in engineering as a Project Engineer at IC Energy Solutions and an internship at Kiewit, Alex possesses extensive technical knowledge complemented by additional training in entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School Online. Alex holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
