Adama Dieye is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of economics and Islamic finance. Since October 2020, Adama has served as a Sharia Board Member at Banque Islamique du Senegal and also holds a position as a Member of the Supervisory Board at the Senegal High Authority for Waqf since January 2018. As a doctor in economics and holder of multiple PhDs in Islamic finance, Adama has been self-employed since November 2017. Previously, from October 1980 to December 2008, Adama served as the Director of Administration and Training at the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) and was a Technical Adviser at the Ministry of Economic and Finance of Senegal from September 1998 to December 2006, focusing on macroeconomic and financial issues. Adama's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Development Economics and International Development from the School of Economics of Université d'Auvergne Clermont Ferrand 1 in France, as well as additional PhDs from the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance.
