Dr. Ashraf Elwan

Dr. Ashraf Elwan currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Banque Misr UAE, a position held since August 2022, along with serving as SVP, Head of Central Operations Hub for UAE & Eastern Europe. Prior to this, from January 2008 to August 2022, Dr. Elwan held several leadership roles at Al Hilal Bank, including Head of Operations & Shared Services and Director, Head of Operations, ensuring effective daily operations across various banking services. Dr. Elwan's career also includes significant positions at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, where the role involved overseeing internal control operations, and Al Masraf, as well as an internal auditor position at Arab International Bank. Dr. Elwan holds a Doctor of Business Administration and multiple degrees in business and commerce from prestigious institutions, including SBS Swiss Business School and Cairo University.
