Michael C. Blackwell

Dr. Blackwell is President and CEO of Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina. Since he assumed this position in July 1983, he has devoted himself to the ministry of “sharing hope…changing lives.”

Dr. Blackwell has been President and Chief Executive Officer since July 1, 1983. He has expanded services and ministries to encompass all of North Carolina and portions of South Carolina. At BCH, Dr. Blackwell is recognized as a leader with a compass in his mind and a magnet in his heart.

Dr. Blackwell has written six books, the latest of which is Founded on faith...Built on love, a history of BCH with emphasis on the growth of the last 20 years. He has won awards for his writing, public speaking, and his podcast It's a Family Matter.
