Katie Mccoy

Katie McCoy is a seasoned professional in women's ministry and theological education, currently serving as the Director of Women's Ministry at the Baptist General Convention of Texas since August 2021. Prior to this role, Katie held academic positions at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where responsibilities included Assistant Professor and Instructor of Theology in Women's Studies from January 2016 to August 2021. Additionally, Katie has worked as a freelance harpist from June 2007 to August 2021. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Theology and a Master of Divinity in Women's Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, along with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Texas A&M University - The Bush School of Government and Public Service. Katie also holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp from Union University.
