Karim Shafei

Karim Shafei began their work experience in 2014 as a Venture Capitalist at Sirius Venture Partners. Karim then worked at the Center for Advanced Security Research Darmstadt in 2015, conducting statistical analysis. In the same year, they joined FinLab AG as a Venture Capitalist. In 2017, Karim moved to EFG Hermes, where they worked in Investment Banking - M&A. Karim also joined Heliad Equity Partners in the same year, working in Private Equity. In 2019, Karim joined Yttrium in a role focused on Growth Equity. Karim then moved to Trade Republic, where they worked in Product Management until 2021. Currently, Karim is serving as the Head of Product at baraka, a commission-free investment app for the Middle East.
