Jackie Boughton is the current Head of Business Events at Barbican. Jackie has over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on the MICE industry. Jackie began their career with The Vienna Group in 1985, where they rose to the position of Sales & Marketing Director over the course of 19 years. In 2004, they left to take on the role of Head of Sales, Conference & Banqueting at Wembley Stadium. There, they were responsible for the sales and marketing functions for Conference & Banqueting business on days when there were no key events. Jackie left Wembley Stadium in 2012 to join Hilton London Metropole as their Sales Director. Jackie oversaw the Field Sales Team tasked with generating demand for MICE, Corporate & Leisure segments of the hotel. Jackie increased exposure of the hotel's meeting and convention facilities through different marketing channels, and also handled accounts for leisure, crew and MICE segments. Jackie left Hilton London Metropole in 2013 and joined Barbican as their Head of Business Events.
Jackie Boughton completed a HND in Hospitality Management at Waltham Forest Catering College. Jackie then went on to work in the hospitality industry for many years.
