Courtney Olivier, Esq. has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. In 2011, they began their career as a Night Shift Supervisor and Program Coach at Wellspring Academies. Courtney later worked as a Waitress, Beverage Cart Attendant, and Hostess at Sapphire Mountain Brewing Company and as a Concierge at The Mountain Club in 2013. In 2014, they briefly served as a Beauty Advisor for Estee Lauder at Dillards.
After exploring different fields, Courtney shifted their focus to the legal profession. Courtney started as a Legal Intern at the Federal Defender Program in 2016 and subsequently became a Legal Intern at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Florida. In 2017, they joined the Office of the Public Defender, 6th Judicial Circuit, Florida as an Assistant Public Defender, where they also held the roles of Director of Externships and Misdemeanor Trainer. During their time there, they successfully handled a large caseload of over two hundred cases, including domestic battery charges, sex trafficking, and drug possession charges.
Courtney's passion for legal education led their to join Stetson University College of Law in 2015 as a Center Fellow at the Center for Excellence in Advocacy. Courtney later became an Adjunct Professor and served as an Advocacy Skills Trainer (Trial Team Coach), where they mentored students and honed their trial presentation skills.
Currently, Courtney is the Director of Legal Education at BARBRI Global, a role they assumed in 2022.
Courtney Olivier, Esq., completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Stage and Screen at Western Carolina University from 2009 to 2013. Courtney then pursued their legal studies at Stetson University College of Law, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2014 to 2017.
