Dolly Jha has a diverse and extensive work experience in the market research and consumer insights field. Dolly started their career at IMRB International in 1994 as a Consumer Research Manager, where they worked until 2003. During their time at IMRB, they gained valuable experience in consumer research.

In 2003, Dolly joined ITC Limited as the Head of Consumer Insights, where they played a crucial role in the company's foray into the FMCG business. Dolly worked on several well-known brands such as Sunfeast and Aashirvaad, and was closely involved in the research surrounding the launch of the snacking brand, Bingo.

After their stint at ITC, Dolly returned to IMRB International in 2006 as a Group Business Director. Dolly worked in this role until 2010, further expanding their expertise in market research.

In 2010, Dolly joined Nielsen, where they held various roles and made significant contributions to the company. Dolly served as the Director from 2010 to 2013, leading the FMCG Business for Nielsen India, with key clients including Marico, ITC Foods, and Pepsico. Dolly then took on the role of Executive Director, CI & BASES from 2013 to 2015, specializing in innovation research for new-to-the-world categories. Dolly then became the Executive Director of Marketing Effectiveness from 2015 to 2018, where they worked closely with industry bodies such as MRUC and BARC. Dolly subsequently served as the Country Head - iMedia from 2018 to 2021, before being promoted to the position of Managing Director in 2021.

Currently, Dolly Jha holds the position of Chief of Product & Research at BARC India, starting from May 2023.

Dolly Jha attended Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya from 1976 to 1988. Later on, they pursued a postgraduate diploma in Business and Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) from 1992 to 1994.
