Monica Lopez Ferrado

Monica Lopez Ferrado is an experienced professional in communication and journalism, currently serving as Técnica Superior de Información at the Instituto de Cultura de Barcelona since March 2017, responsible for communication at Fabra i Coats - Fábrica de Creación y Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona. With a long-standing freelance journalism career since 1995, specialization in science, health, and the environment has led to collaborations with prominent publications such as La Vanguardia and ARA Newspaper. Previous roles include editor of the science section at El País, scriptwriter for TVE’s scientific program Tres14, and educator at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Lopez Ferrado holds a Ph.D. in Social Communication and various degrees in journalism and science communication from esteemed institutions including Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
