Aleix Cabrera has a degree in Pharmacy (2001) from the University of Barcelona (UB), where he completed the Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology (2002) and taught in the laboratory, as an associate professor. He then graduated in Audiovisual Communication (2007) from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).
In the last decade, he has worked as a journalist, communicator and scriptwriter in the media (Barcelona Televisión, BTVnoticies.cat, 324.cat and Lavinia Interactiva), the Department of Brand and Digital Strategy of the UOC, the production company UTOPIC and the agency of communication Xavier Olivé. He has participated as a production and editing assistant with the production companies Orbita Max ('The End of the Big Cats') and Gen Image Media ('Barça Dreams').
He has also collaborated with institutions and companies in the educational and cultural sector, such as the Barcelona History Museum (content creation for the 'Barcelona connected, transnational citizens' exhibition), University of Vic (digital content management and networks), SOS Racisme ('Media of (In)communication' workshop), UOC (network management and workshops 'From the idea to the story' and 'Introduction to Celtx, a tool for scriptwriting and audiovisual production'), EDEBÉ publishing house (contents educational) and the Barcelona City Council, as presenter of the cycle "Opera en ruta" (2015, 2016). He is the author of the collection of children's stories 'Derechos del niño' (Gemser Publications), among others.
