Andrew Mercer

Andrew Mercer is a seasoned technology and strategy leader with extensive experience in the energy and pharmaceuticals sectors. Currently serving as a Director at Baringa Partners since May 2021, Andrew also contributes as a Board Member for GAIN. Previously at BP from 2006 to 2020, Andrew held various director-level positions, including leading the Low Carbon & Sustainability agenda and overseeing the architecture of enterprise solutions across the organization. Prior to BP, Andrew was a Vice President and CIO at GlaxoSmithKline, managing IT strategies for corporate functions and shared financial services. Andrew's early career includes the role of IT Director at SmithKline Beecham, focusing on the UK Pharmaceuticals sector.
