Shane Heffernan

Shane Heffernan is a Director at Baringa, where employment has spanned from April 2019 to the present, following a progression from Senior Manager to Manager and Senior Consultant. Prior experience includes roles at L.E.K. Consulting as a Senior Associate Consultant and Associate Consultant from April 2015 to April 2019. Shane conducted research on copper-oxide based photovoltaic systems as a PhD student at the University of Cambridge from October 2010 to February 2015, while also co-founding Cambridge Innovation Consulting Ltd, focused on advancing nanotechnology commercialization from June 2011 to June 2013. Additional research experience includes projects at the National Institute for Materials Science and UCSB Material Science. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Photovoltaic Materials from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials from Trinity College Dublin.
