Samantha Reeves

Samantha Reeves has a diverse work experience. Samantha is currently working as the Sr. Director and Chief of Staff for the Chief Administration Office at Barings since 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Director and Chief of Staff for the Chief Administration and Chief Legal Officer at the same company from 2020 to 2022. Samantha also has a background in academia, having served as a Faculty Instructor for the MBA Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte starting in 2023. Previously, they worked as a Professor of Marketing, Communications, and HR Management at Wingate University since 2015. Samantha has also gained experience in media services, specifically with the Wells Fargo Championship where they responded to media inquiries and drafted press statements since 2003. In addition, they have held positions at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP as the Director of Learning and Development from 2019 to 2020, and as the Director of Talent Acquisition from 2017 to 2019. Samantha has also worked at MetLife in various roles, including AVP/Director of Communications, Operations, and Global Talent Acquisition from 2012 to 2017, and as Employer Brand, Employee Experience, and Communications Manager from 2008 to 2011. Samantha started their career in financial services at Wachovia Corp as the Global Brand Manager, Corporate Communications Manager, and Financial Specialist from 2001 to 2008. Additionally, Samantha has had adjunct faculty roles at SUNY Empire State College from 2000 to 2016. Samantha has also served as the Head of Technology and Change Management Communications at Royal Bank of Scotland Business from 2011 to 2012. Samantha Reeves holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, as well as a Master's degree in Organizational Communication, Learning & Design from the joint program between Cornell University and Ithaca College. Samantha also completed their Bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Marketing at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Samantha has additional certifications as a Certified Facilitator for Everything DiSC: A Wiley Brand and as a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci, obtained in 2020 and 2017 respectively. Samantha has also pursued studies in Corporate Communications at Queen Margaret University and Corporate Marketing/Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire.
