Harald Schmidt

Harald Schmidt is an experienced professional in operations and project management, currently serving as General Manager and Plant Manager at Burkert Contromatic since September 2006. Responsibilities include full P&L oversight and management of finance, supply chain management, human resources, production, and quality control, with a strong emphasis on lean management practices. Prior to this role, Harald held the position of Project Manager, focusing on the planning and establishment of a new production and engineering facility for fluid control systems, which included the implementation of equipment and SAP ERP systems. Before joining Burkert, Harald served as Service & Operations Manager at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems UK & Ireland, and completed a Corporate Management Traineeship at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems. Earlier experience includes working as an Engineering Assistant at Fraunhofer IML. Harald holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
