James Edmunds

James Edmunds has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. James began their career as an Attorney at Schwartz Cooper Chartered, specializing in commercial litigation. After that, they founded and operated a successful tourism business, DWL Travel Ltd, in Italy. James then transitioned into the field of data science, starting as a Data Science Intern at Research Done, Ltd. and the University of Chicago, where they developed a machine learning course and coded a capstone project. James furthered their data science career as a Data Scientist at BMO Financial Group, focusing on building machine learning models to detect money laundering activity. Currently, they are working as the Director and Lead Data Scientist at Barkley, where they spearhead data science initiatives and develops critical models for data-driven advertising. In addition to their professional experience, James demonstrates proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.

James Edmunds obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics from Miami University in the span of 1982 to 1986. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Law degree (JD) from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in the years 1987 to 1990. Later, from 2018 to 2020, James attended the University of Illinois Chicago-College of Business Administration, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Business Analytics. Additionally, in August 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
