Katherine Shewfelt has a diverse work experience in various fields. Katherine currently works as a research/accounting assistant at Barnana, PBC since March 2022. Katherine worked as a sustainability coordinator at Wesleyan University from January 2017 to January 2020. Katherine also worked as a research assistant at Fundaci\u00f3n Ideas para la Paz for a short period from February 2019 to May 2019. Katherine created and directed Engage, Elect, Empower for a year from December 2017 to November 2018. Katherine completed an internship with the District Office of Congressman Ted Lieu from May 2018 to August 2018. Additionally, they worked as an Executive Producer and Social Media Manager for Cardinal Pictures from November 2016 to August 2018. Katherine was also a fellow at the Patricelli Center for Social Entrepreneurship in August 2017, and an intern at FairVote in the summer of 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked as a scriptwriter at Wonderscape Entertainment LLC from June 2016 to September 2016.
Katherine Shewfelt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government, with a focus on Environmental Studies, which they earned from Wesleyan University between 2016 and 2020. Katherine also briefly attended Universidad de Los Andes in 2019, where they focused on Political Science and Government studies. During the same year, they were awarded a fellowship at the University of Illinois Chicago's Summer Institute on Sustainability & Energy. Prior to their university studies, Katherine attended Palos Verdes Peninsula High School from 2012 to 2016.
