Stuart Rogers

Stuart Rogers is an experienced professional in sport and physical activity management, currently serving as Service Manager for Sport and Physical Activity at Barnsley Council since February 2019. Responsible for managing the Sport and Recreation Team, Stuart focuses on sport development, physical activity strategies, active travel initiatives, and interventions promoting mental wellbeing. With a background that includes roles as Deputy Chair on the Board of Trustees for Reds in the Community, Associate Lecturer and Motivational Speaker at Sheffield Hallam University, and Development Manager positions at Yorkshire Sport Foundation and South Yorkshire Sport, Stuart has demonstrated expertise in project management, community development, and strategic influencing. Stuart holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Sheffield Hallam University and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from the same institution.
