Saravanan Mohankumar

Saravanan Mohankumar is a seasoned expert in software engineering and cybersecurity with a significant track record of experience in various roles. Currently serving as Manager of Software Engineering (Threat Analyst) at Barracuda since November 2023, Saravanan has previously held key positions at Trellix as Senior Staff Research Scientist, Microsoft as Senior Security Researcher, and FireEye, Inc. as Senior Research Scientist, contributing extensively to threat analysis and security research. Notable experience includes working with McAfee's Advanced Threat Detection team, where Saravanan was involved in developing a Static Code analysis engine and a Threat Intelligence platform while applying Deep Learning techniques to combat advanced threats. Early career roles included Sr Malware Researcher at K7 Computing Pvt Ltd., focusing on reverse engineering and malware detection, and Spyware Analyst at Omniquad Pvt Ltd. Saravanan holds an MCA degree in Computer Science from KSR College of Technology.
