Chris Richards

Chris Richards has over 30 years of work experience in the technology and logistics industry. Chris is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at BBSI since 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at Columbia Distributing from 2017 to 2021, where they were responsible for IT strategy, transformation, and the delivery of all enterprise IT services. Chris also worked at XPO Logistics, Inc. for several years, holding various roles such as Vice President - Con-way IT (SVP & Divisional CIO) and Sr. IT Director - Business Technology Consulting and Project Management - Menlo Worldwide Logistics. During their tenure at XPO Logistics, they were responsible for driving IT strategy, project management, and business technology consulting. Before joining XPO Logistics, Chris worked at UPS in operations leadership and management roles.

Chris Richards holds an MBA degree in Business Administration from Portland State University's School of Business. Chris also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Industrial Psychology from Portland State University. In addition, they have several certifications including a Masters Certificate in Information Technology Project Management from The George Washington University, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, and they are a graduate of the Higher Ambition Leadership Institute at the Center for Higher Ambition Leadership. Chris obtained these certifications and completed their education in different years.
