Rafael Rojas has extensive experience in the electrical engineering sector, currently serving as Energy General Supervisor at Barrick Gold Corporation since April 2011, where responsibilities include the commercialization of PVDC energy, capacity regulation, and resource management for energy project development. Prior roles at Barrick Gold include Senior Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer, focusing on the safe distribution of electrical energy and engineering project support. Before joining Barrick Gold, Rafael worked as a High Voltage Substation Engineer at Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana, specializing in the design of high voltage substations. Rafael holds a Master of Engineering in Power Systems from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña.
