Sam Starkey has a diverse work experience in the field of customer success, transition management, account management, technical support, and project delivery. They have worked in various roles at Barron McCann Limited, including Head of Customer Success and Senior Transition & Change Manager. They were responsible for managing the successful delivery of hardware break-fix and support services, overseeing account management for high street retail accounts, and handling major incidents and supplier issues. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Support Team Leader at Barron McCann and as a self-employed electrical engineer, specializing in installing various systems such as CCTV, signage, IT, and electrical systems. They also have extensive experience at Barron McCann as an IMAC Project Delivery Manager and an IMAC Engineer, managing rollout projects and working on EPOS hardware installations.
Sam Starkey attended Wilnecote High School from 1990 to 1995. In 1995, they then pursued a brief study in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Staffordshire County Training for the duration of one year. Shortly after, Sam completed additional certifications including the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in July 2014, and the Qualified Integrator and Reseller (QIR) from the PCI Security Standards Council in December 2022.
