Andre van Zyl

Andre Van Zyl has diverse work experience in various roles. Andre started their career in 2018 as a Junior Engineer at Pilot Crushtec International. Later, they joined KSA Farms in 2017, where they worked in management until 2022. In 2021, Andre completed their Master's in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence machine learning and pattern recognition for optimization at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Andre then joined IoT.nxt in 2022, initially as a Junior Data Scientist before progressing to the role of Intermediate Data Scientist. Currently, Andre serves as the Data Science Team Lead, responsible for guiding a team of Data Scientists and an ML Engineer. Andre has been instrumental in pioneering computer vision models, utilizing tools such as Kafka, Rancher, Kubernetes, and an in-house AI tool.

Andre Van Zyl completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Mechanical/Megatronics, from the University of Pretoria. Andre attended the university from 2016 to 2019.
