Matt Thompson

Matt Thompson currently serves as Chief of Staff for Barrow County Schools since July 2022. Prior to this role, Matt was the Deputy Superintendent at Stephens County School System from June 2021 to July 2022. Matt's extensive experience in education spans nearly two decades in various positions at Barrow County School System, including Director of Student and Data Services, Testing & Data Specialist, and School Psychologist. Matt holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from The University of Georgia, an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Georgia Southern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Georgia.
