Filip Buggenhout started their work experience as a Project Engineer at Siemens in 1998. Filip worked in this role until 2002. From 2003 to 2005, they served as a Technical Project Manager at Siemens. In 2006, they transitioned to the role of Project and Bid Management at Siemens, where they worked until 2008. From 2008 to 2013, Filip held the position of Business Unit Group Manager at Siemens. In 2013, they joined Barry Callebaut Group as the Corporate Engineering Manager Automation, and later became the Director of Innovation and Technology in 2018. Filip's most recent work experience is as Chief Information and Innovation Officer at DP World, starting in October 2023.
Filip Buggenhout has a Master's degree in Electromechanics - Automation from Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven', Gent. Filip also completed a Personal Development Course at Siemens in 2006 and a Management Development Course at Vlerick Business School in 2008. In 2010, they attended a course on negotiating at Dirk Van Poucke, and in 2011, they studied Successful Strategy Execution at Vlerick Business School.
