Michael Monu has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. In 2004, they began their career at Accenture as a Consultant and Analyst. In 2008, they earned their MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at Parallels, an organization acquired by KKR, in various roles including Head of New BD, Corp Dev, Alliances, Director of Strategic Alliances, and Senior Manager of Alliances. In 2016, they founded and became CEO of Barsala, a tech-driven hospitality company operating in North America. Michael pioneered a recession-proof model in 2018, two years before the COVID-19 pandemic, and bootstrapped the company to a $20M+ top-line before outside funding. In 2022, they became a Member of YPO.
Michael Monu earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Brown University in 2004. Michael then went on to pursue an MBA from The Wharton School, which they completed in 2010.
