Gary Daynes

Gary Daynes serves as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Barton College since July 2013, focusing on enhancing student learning through a supportive and meaningful academic environment. Prior to this role, Gary held various positions at Westminster College, including Vice President for Strategic Outreach and Enrollment and Associate Provost for Integrative Learning. Additionally, experience includes roles as Associate Director at Freshman Academy, Brigham Young University, and Executive Director at Utah Campus, among others. Gary is an accomplished academic with a M.A. and Ph.D. in American History from the University of Delaware and a B.A. in History from Brigham Young University, contributing significantly to curriculum development and civic engagement initiatives throughout a distinguished career.
