Shelley Hickerson is a Special Education Teacher at BASEHOR-LINWOOD USD 458 since August 2017. Prior to this, Shelley held positions such as Account Manager at D&L Transport, Project Manager at Mid-America Coalition on Health Care, and Center for Clinical Excellence Accreditation and Patient Safety at Via Christi Health. Shelley also has experience in Quality Systems and Process Improvement at Boeing and as an Adjunct Instructor in Behavioral Sciences at Butler Community College. Shelley holds a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Friends University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southwestern College.

Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is located in southern Leavenworth County. The District contains 90 square miles and incorporates the cities of Basehor and Linwood. The resident student population is just over 3,000 students. In addition, Basehor-Linwood Virtual School enrolls nearly 200 students a year.
