Kat Sala (Kasia)

Kat (Kasia) Sala is a Principal Scientist at Baseimmune, focusing on the development of pre-clinical mRNA vaccines and enhancing the immunogenicity of computationally designed antigens through molecular biology methods. Previous roles include Senior Laboratory Research Scientist and Laboratory Manager at The Francis Crick Institute, where research centered on the mechanisms driving the virulence of Cryptosporidium parasites. At Imperial College London, Kat worked as a Research Technician, identifying anti-malarial vaccine targets and managing malaria vector colonies and parasite lines. Additional experience includes roles in medical laboratory assistance and research at various institutions, complemented by a Master of Science in Applied Biotechnology from Uniwersytet Rolniczy im. Hugona Kołłątaja w Krakowie.
