Eljas Hyyrynen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Eljas started their career as a mathematics and physics teacher at Tietopoli, where they taught high school students and provided tutoring for entrance examinations in 2014.

Eljas then transitioned to Aalto University School of Science and Technology, where they worked as a mathematics teacher, teaching calculus, discrete mathematics, and probability theory to B.Sc. students from 2014 to 2017.

In 2017, Eljas joined Suhina Solutions as a frontend developer, programming user interfaces for data analytics software using Qt/C++. Eljas also created a Windows desktop application that visualized key performance indicators for people flow in buildings.

Eljas then moved to Navitec Systems in 2018, taking on the role of a software developer. Here, they developed positioning and navigation software for mobile robots and was involved in setting up robotic systems. Eljas also worked as an M.Sc thesis worker, implementing a path planning algorithm for mobile robots and writing their master's thesis.

From 2020 to 2022, Eljas worked as a software engineer at Buutti Oy, specializing in eCPRI hard real-time algorithms for the 5G physical layer. Eljas gained experience in C, C++17, SoC, ORAN, and telecom, while following the Scrum methodology and practicing code reviews and test-driven development.

Currently, Eljas is employed at Basemark as a technical lead, focusing on developing computer vision algorithms for the Basemark Automotive Test Suite. Eljas is involved in GPU-accelerating neural network inference using technologies such as TensorRT, CUDA, Pytorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, and OpenCV. Additionally, they work on benchmarking and optimizing inference on different platforms.

Eljas Hyyrynen completed their high school education from Lahden Yhteiskoulu Highschool from 2009 to 2012. During this time, their field of study focused on mathematics, physics, and chemistry. After completing high school, they pursued higher education at Aalto University from 2013 to 2018. Eljas obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Robotics from Aalto University.
