Thorsten Oberreuther

Thorsten Oberreuther is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the chemical engineering sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Intermediates Operations Europe, Global EHSQ, and Asset Management at BASF since February 2003. Oberreuther has held several key positions within BASF, including Senior Vice President of Plant Operations Antwerp, Vice President of Production Resins & Additives, and Vice President of Operations Coatings Asia Pacific, showcasing a strong leadership background in operations and project management. Prior to joining BASF, Oberreuther was involved in a BMBF research project on Plasma Chemistry at TU Dortmund University, where a PhD in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Process Development was earned. In addition, a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Chemical Engineering was completed at TU Dortmund University from 1992 to 1999.
