Alan Pfortmiller

Alan Pfortmiller possesses extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the VP of Drilling, Completions, and Reservoir at Basin Engineering since February 2020. In this role, Alan focuses on optimizing asset development through completions and reservoir engineering, managing costs, and utilizing analytics for decision-making. Prior experience includes a senior engineering position at Roan Resources, where Alan oversaw reservoir and completion operations, and as Vice President of Operations at Annastin Energy, contributing to play development and financial modeling for leasing programs. Alan's career also includes significant roles at EOG Resources, where strategic completions were developed for the Eastern Anadarko Woodford play, and as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger, executing various fracturing jobs across multiple basins. Alan holds an MBA in Energy from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, and Business from the University of Kansas.
