Michael Thompson is the Vice President of Systems Improvement and Chief of Staff at Bassett Healthcare Network. Michael has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including leadership positions at INTEGRIS Health and Bassett Healthcare Network.

Michael's experience in provider recruitment, contracting, and credentialing has helped him develop a deep understanding of the inner workings of the healthcare system. Michael has used this knowledge to improve clinical care and operations at both INTEGRIS Health and Bassett Healthcare Network.

In their current role, Michael is responsible for overseeing system-wide improvement efforts and providing support to Bassett Healthcare Network's executive team. Michael is also responsible for coordinating clinical care transformation efforts, managing the system's clinical variation initiatives, and overseeing the network's bundled payment programs.
