Chad Unrein

Chad Unrein started their work experience in 2002 at LSI, where they worked as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they played a significant role in architecting and developing projects for the next generation storage management software stack. Chad also led feature teams, acted as a Scrum Master, and mentored junior engineers. During this time, they implemented a Virtual Disk Service client for creating file shares on a prerelease Microsoft Windows Unified Storage Server operating system.

In 2011, Chad joined NetApp as a Senior Software Engineer (MTS Sw). In this role, they led various front-end and back-end software development efforts on multiple products, releases, and teams. Chad'sfront-end experience included working with Java, JavaScript (AngularJS, Karma, Jasmin), HTML, and SCSS/CSS. Additionally, they played a key role in architecting and implementing back ends with Java, including REST APIs and core services. Chad worked at NetApp for almost nine years, until August 2020.

Since January 2021, Chad has been working at BastionZero as the Lead Frontend Engineer.

Chad Unrein holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Kansas State University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in SQL Essential Training and Microservices Foundations from LinkedIn. Chad completed the SQL Essential Training certification in November 2020 and the Microservices Foundations certification in October 2020.
