Marieke Willemsen has extensive experience in project management within the pharmaceutical and biosciences industry. Marieke started their career at NVI with an internship in 2003, followed by another internship at Wageningen University in 2003. In 2004, they completed a traineeship at Solvay Pharmaceuticals and worked as an additional researcher at Wageningen University. Marieke then joined Crucell, where they held various roles, including project planner/manager and project manager, focusing on influenza vaccine development. In 2015, they transitioned to The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a project manager, primarily focusing on Alzheimer's disease. Currently, they serve as a project director at Batavia Biosciences, managing projects within the organization.
Marieke Willemsen obtained a Master's Degree in Bioprocess Technology from Wageningen University & Research from 1999 to 2004.
