George H. Scheetz is an experienced library professional with a distinguished career spanning several decades. Currently serving as Executive Director Emeritus at Batavia Public Library since December 2004, George oversees a library with a nearly $4.0 million budget and a service population of over 26,500. Prior roles include Chief Information Officer for Roger Ebert's Overlooked Film Festival, where George produced film synopses and guest biographies, and consultant/director of the Virtual Library at The Library Channel LLC, managing the development of a librarian-selected search engine.
