Karla Donovan

Karla Donovan serves as Special Counsel at BatesCarey LLP since May 2020, leading the Sompo International Bermuda Healthcare claims team. Prior to this role, Karla held various positions at Arch Insurance Group Inc., including Vice President and Assistant Vice President of Healthcare Claims, where responsibilities included mentoring claims examiners, managing performance issues, and overseeing claims financial metrics. Karla's prior experience also includes serving as an Of Counsel at Buckley Theroux Kline & Petraske, where Karla managed medical malpractice defense litigation, and as General Counsel at Reciprocal Management Corporation, overseeing legal functions and managing outside counsel. Karla's legal foundation was established with a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
