Mayumi Fukushima

Mayumi Fukushima, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University since September 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Stanton Nuclear Security Postdoctoral Fellow at the RAND Corporation from September 2020 to September 2021 and completing a Ph.D. in Political Science at the MIT Department of Political Science from August 2013 to September 2020. Additionally, Mayumi Fukushima held the position of Deputy Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan from April 1999 to July 2010. Mayumi Fukushima's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Master's degree in International Relations from Sciences Po.
