Tracey A. Reeves

VP, Communications & Marketing at Bates College

Joining Bates in 2022, Tracey Reeves leads the college’s strategic communications and marketing program, promoting Bates’ identity, priorities, and accomplishments to internal and external audiences across all communications channels. Tracey is responsible for providing guidance to the college’s leadership team on branding and marketing programs, communications issues, and crisis planning and response. Previously, Tracey was associate vice president for research and academic communications at Georgia Institute of Technology, leading an integrated marketing and communications strategy to drive awareness of the Institute’s $1.2 billion research enterprise. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, she was director of media relations at the Johns Hopkins University. She entered higher education communications with extensive media experience as a reporter, editor and bureau chief for The Washington Post. Tracey earned her B.S. in mass communication from Illinois State University.
