Mathieu Le Sueur

Mathieu is a Studio Director in Bates Smart’s Sydney studio and a large-scale commercial and residential expert. He specialises in the management of complex and large-scale towers, both residential, commercial office and built to rent, and is highly skilled in the planning of innovative commercial and residential floorplates.

Since joining Bates Smart in 2012, he has been involved in a number of internationally recognised tower projects such as 1 Denison, Victoria Cross and Pitt Street South. Mathieu was instrumental in translating the complex interfaces and briefs for 1 Denison Street and Festival Square into architecture that will achieve the highest commercial and liveability standards.

Mathieu is passionate about embedding both social and environmental factors into his work to evolve the high-rise typology towards achieving sustainable and highly liveable vertical cities of the future.
