Mirjana Sazunic

Mirjana Sazunic is an Associate Director at Bates Smart, where they have worked since 2005. Mirjana is a design and project leader for major health, hospitality, and residential projects. Key projects they have worked on include the Royal Children’s Hospital in Parkville, Melbourne; the Crown Metropol hotel in Southbank, Melbourne; and the luxury apartments at 150 Clarendon Street in East Melbourne.

Prior to joining Bates Smart, Sazunic was the director of their own company, Sazunic Projects Pty Ltd. Mirjana also worked as a project architect and representative for Mario Bellini Associati SRL in Australia from 2000 to 2004, where they were responsible for developing design solutions, client management, and project delivery in coordination with the Milan office. During this time, they also worked on the National Gallery of Victoria redevelopment in Melbourne.

Sazunic began their career as an architect in 1979, working for various architectural offices until 1988 when they took a career break to move to Australia. Mirjana resumed their career in 1992 when they founded Sazunic Projects Pty Ltd.

Mirjana Sazunic has a Dipl. Eng. Arch. from the University of Belgrade in the field of architecture.
