David McGregor has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2014 when they worked as a National Digital & Communications Officer and Digital Communications Officer for The Australian Workers' Union. In 2015 they were the National Organiser & Digital Communications Manager for The Australian Republic Movement. In 2016 they were a Fellow for Centre for Australian Progress. From 2018 to 2019 they held various roles, including a Public Affairs Officer (Reservist) for the Australian Army, a Software Developer for Makers, a Field Organiser (Victorian Branch) for the Australian Labor Party, and a Digital Communications Advisor for the Australian Labor Party (NSW Branch). David McGregor obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Economics) from The University of Sydney Business School between 2007 and 2009. David then attended the University of Melbourne and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law between 2010 and 2013. In 2013 and 2014, they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The Australian National University. In 2017, they completed a Leadership, Organizing and Action: Leading Change course from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education. In 2021, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2022, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
