Allen Roach serves as a Senior Manager of Irradiated Fuels & Materials in the Nuclear Science & Technology department at Idaho National Laboratory since November 2019. This department includes over 30 PhD technical staff and Post Docs focusing on research for competitive advancements in nuclear materials, encompassing fission and fusion technologies, quantum physics, and materials for advanced reactors. Previously, Allen Roach held various distinguished positions at Sandia National Laboratories for two decades, engaging in extensive research on transport phenomena, advanced systems, and applied science, as well as leading multiple departments and initiatives aimed at materials science and engineering. Allen Roach began his career as a Research Project Engineer at PPG Industries, developing modeling and simulation strategies for fiberglass manufacturing. Allen Roach earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
