Josh Jarrell

Josh Jarrell serves as the Division Director for Fuel Cycle Science and Technology at Idaho National Laboratory since September 2017, where leadership encompasses research and development in the nuclear fuel cycle, including actinide sciences and advanced reactor support. Prior experience at Oak Ridge National Laboratory involved roles as Research and Development Staff and managing projects related to spent fuel and waste disposition. Additionally, Josh is the Chair of the NEA/OECD Expert Group on Economics of Extended Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel. Academic credentials include a PhD and a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, where a dissertation focused on adaptive angular discretization for neutral particle transport. Early experience includes summer fellowships and internships at various nuclear facilities, contributing to projects in neutron transport and shielding models.
